Dr.Tunca Gül Altuntaş, Ankara Üniversitesi, Eczacılık Fakültesi, Farmasötik Kimya Anabilim Dalı'nda Profesör olarak görev yapmaktadır.

Dr. Altuntaş  Lisans eğitimini 1985  yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Eczacılık Fakültesinde,

Yüksek Lisans eğitimini 1988 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Eczacılık Fakültesi, Farmasötik Kimya Anabilim Dalında,

Doktora eğitimini 1995 yılında Londra Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, King's Kolej Londra, Biopharmacy-İaç  Metabolizması Bölümünde  tamamlamıştır.

 Dr. Altuntaş,  Ankara Üniversitesi Eczacılık Fakültesi, Farmasötik Kimya Anabilim Dalında 1997 yılında yardımcı doçent, 1998 yılında doçent ve 2004 yılında profesör ünvanını almıştır.

İlaç metabolizması, ilaç etken maddelerinin sentezi, ilaç anaizi, HPLC, LC-MS.
