He was born in 1955 in Ankara. Dr. After completing his primary and secondary education in this province, Nevzat ARTIK started his undergraduate education in Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture, Food Science and Technology Department in 1972. After completing his undergraduate education in 1977, he earned a Monbusho scholarship from the Government of Japan after completing his doctoral studies in 1983 at the same university. After his return to Turkey, he received the title of Professor in 1988 and began to work as a lecturer at Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture. From 1996 to 1997, he was Visiting Professor at The Research Institute for Food Science for one year. Since 1994, he has been working as a professor. These duties include Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture, Revolving Fund Directorate (1996-2000), TSE Finished Foods Preparation Group Member (1990-1993), TSE Finished Foods Preparation Group President (2005-2008), Ankara University-Kosgeb Tekmer Selection Review Board Member ( 1995-2008), Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Protection and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (2004-2008), Member of the National Food Codex Commission (2004-2008) and Member of the Industrial and Commercial Advertising Board (2004-2008).

Professor Dr. Nevzat ARTIK's areas of expertise and training include; Fruit and Vegetable Processing Technology, Traditional Foods, Sugar and Sugar Technology, Food Chemistry, Food Biochemistry, Food Quality Control Applications, Food Safety Applications, National and International Food Legislation, Food Analysis Methods, HACCP, Functional Food, Food Safety Management Systems Ge Projects. He has published many scientific articles and papers in national and international refereed journals, especially those registered with SCI. Dr. Nevzat ARTIK has also published several books on “Food Science and Technology”. He has 145 publications in the field of Food Science and Technology. He worked as a Ankara Project Coordinator ”and“ Researcher esinde in numerous research projects supported by Ankara University Scientific Research Projects, TUBITAK and State Planning Organization (SPO).

He is currently the Director of the Ankara University Institute of Food Safety.
