Prof. Dr. Nazan TUTAŞ
Nazan TUTAŞ is Professor of English
Language and Literature and Head of the Department at Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography.
She is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature
in the Faculty of Letters at Selçuk University. After completing the Bilkent
University, Masters Programme in TEFL, she received a second MA and a PhD from
the Centre for Applied Language Studies at Reading University, UK. She worked as the Deputy Director and the
Head of the Linguistics Unit of the Department of English Language and
Literature at Selçuk University, Konya.
She was also the Academic Coordinator for Konya of the Distance BA Program
in ELT of Anadolu Universitys Open Education Faculty.
She has published
various articles on the teaching of literature in EFL contexts, reader-response
approaches to literature teaching, and stylistic analysis of literary
genres. She is involved as a translator in the bilingualization of the Wordpower ELT
Dictionary (English-Turkish), and she bilingualized the Oxford Photo Dictionary
for Oxford University Press. She also
contributed chapters to TESOL and PALA publications.
