ÖMER ACAR, Assoc.Prof.Dr. was born in 1976 in Erzurum. He completed primary and middle school in Kayseri, and high school in Bursa. He graduated from Theology Faculty of Ankara University in 1999. In the same year, he was appointed as a research assistant to the Department of Arabic Language and Rhetoric in the Faculty of Theology at Ankara University. In 2000, was assigned to the Faculty of Theology at Uludag University to complete postgraduate education. He completed his master's degree (2002) and doctoral degree (2007) in Arabic Language and Rhetoric in the Institute of Social Sciences at Uludag University. He became assistant professor in 2013 and associate professor in 2017. He served as a guest lecturer in the Faculty of Theology at Osh State University in Osh city of Kyrgyzstan for one year and deputy dean for a year between 2012 and 2014. Assoc. Dr. Ömer Acar is currently serving as a lecturer at the Faculty of Theology at Ankara University. He is also the academic coordinator of the preparatory class in Arabic, a faculty board member and chairman of the exemption-adjustment commission. He speaks good English and advanced Arabic. He is married and has three children.
